About

As a passionate storyteller and media enthusiast, I’ve had the privilege to expand my skills within the entertainment industry through several creative opportunities. From Chicago, LA, and now to New York, I’ve had extensive experience in media and theatre, including costuming, digital design, crew work, photo and video editing, administration, leadership, and more.

One thing is for certain: The life of an artist is one of perpetual uncertainty. So no matter where my work takes me, my goals are to provide quality work in any capacity, inspire genuine connections with leaders and peers in my field, and contribute to the life behind the art.

I believe creativity begets innovation.

Background

As a result, I was a dramatic kid with an over-active imagination who loved to tell stories. Imagine the utter shock I felt when my strict Latin family – one with generations of ONLY accountants, teachers, and engineers – did not react the same way I did when I wanted a creative career. What?! Once I made my case, I convinced my family that being the first to go to University for theatre, film, and media was the best way to go.

Skip to today, my educational and professional background continues to invigorate my hunger for knowledge and growth within theatre, media, and entertainment. I long for hands-on experiences that stimulate my practical and analytical capabilities, while encouraging out-of-the-box thinking.

As someone with an international upbringing, not only am I fluent in Spanish, but I know firsthand the importance of embracing diverse ideas and having an inclusive artistic workplace. My ultimate life goal is to use my multicultural perspective to amplify unique voices and promote a sense of belonging for creatives within an ever-evolving, competitive, and often unfair industry.

Before I was fifteen, I had moved at least ten times – between two continents, within three countries, across two states, and attended over eight schools. Though I was originally born in Chile, living in Peru, a vibrant country with great poverty, was incredibly formative to who I am today.

Seeing people, especially children my age, in the streets begging for food or money broke my heart. I spent several years volunteering and serving my community in any way I could. As a result, I learned the importance of humility, gratitude, resourcefulness, and hard work. Additionally, by witnessing genuinely happy people whose circumstances were not always as privileged as mine, I learned to embrace the beauty of staying joyful and hopeful through any life challenge.

After all those moves and friends I left behind, the two most constant things that followed me were clear: the loving family that supported me and the films/media that pushed my creativity to bloom. No matter where I went, regardless of the country I was in or the people I encountered, I was fascinated that good storytellers encouraged lively culture and entertainment.
